We are doing everything we can to save gas....one trip to the Market instead of three...just little things like that to save money. I think this little Filling Station is so cute...I am trying to find out more about the owner. I am sure it was a very distant cousin.

I am so happy you posted this pic. I, too, forgot that they were called filling stations. My stepdad had a small Mobil station - a bit bigger than this. It was a combined gas station and shop where he re-wound electric motors. It had a big wooden roll top desk filled with junk. I was so mad when he sold it to a dealer. I wanted it! It too had that awning type roof that you drove your car under, and a big ol' grease pit in the back that was fascinating to us. It had those girlie calendars too! LOL!
